The Meaning of February ~ Film Premiere and Community Art Gathering
The Meaning of February Premiere + Community Art Event | Hosted by Peace Tree Collective
Peace Tree Collective invites you to an evening that honors loss, celebrates life, and embraces the healing power of art.
On February 22nd, 2025, join us for The Meaning of February Premiere + Community Art Event, a powerful evening of film, live music, dance, and creative works by local artists, all centered around the themes of grief, remembrance, and healing.
At the heart of this evening will be the premiere of “The Meaning of February,” an experimental short dance film produced by Peace Tree Collective. A collaborative work by Maile Crowder (performer), Kathryn Frey (writer), Cory Standridge (cinematography), and Brady Heinsoo (original score), this deeply moving film uses movement, music, and landscape to express the raw emotions of grief. Through this piece, we aim to offer a space where sorrow and beauty exist side by side, allowing viewers to witness grief and healing through art.
This event is more than a showcase, performance, exhibition, or screening. It’s a shared experience—an open conversation about grief, brought to life through the power of art and community.
Audience participation is encouraged—this is a night for collective expression, where your presence adds to the energy and healing of the space. We hope you’ll find yourself moved, inspired, and connected with others on this shared journey.

At Peace Tree Collective, we believe that grief, though painful, is a universal experience that brings us together. Through creative expression and community, we can heal in ways that are more profound and transformative than when we grieve alone. Our mission is to provide a space for people to process loss through art, connect with others, and discover healing in the collective expression of grief.
We hope you can join us for this transformative evening of art, remembrance, and community.
