Healing Movement Retreat | Spring โ24 ๐ธ๐
You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.
~ Pablo Neruda
Join us for our seasonal Healing Movement Retreat to celebrate Spring! Together we will combine the healing power of movement, creativity, and community with the blossoming open spaces of Zeke's Farm.
This all-day event includes yoga, somatic movement, journaling, guided discussion circles, and the opportunity to create an ephemeral site-specific piece to share with others. The creation process is rooted in self-reflection, artistic exploration, and a movement-based therapeutic curriculum. We seek to witness each other with compassion and empathy to process deeper healing within ourselves.
Schedule for April 27th (subject to change):
10am | Opening Circle, Community Agreements, Farm Tour
11am | Gentle Yoga with Alicia Ralls
12pm | Writing Prompts + Group Discussion

2pm | Somatic Dance Therapy with Maile Crowder
3pm | Site-Specific Creation

Logistics
Event Fee: The suggested event fee for a day-long retreat is $150, though participants can pay what they can. This fee includes dinner and refreshments throughout the day, and allows us to continue these retreats sustainably. We can keep this fee low due to the generous contributions of our team and other supporters who donate their resources. Peace Tree Collective guarantees access to all our programming, regardless of economic means.
Refunds: Space is very limited for these retreats as we are committed to creating an intimate space where each artist can receive adequate space and support. There is a zero refund policy for cancellations within a week before the event. If the retreat must be cancelled by the event hosts, a full refund will be sent to all who registered.
Location: Zekeโs Farm is located about 50 minutes from downtown Portland, and about 15 minutes from Newberg. Please give yourself extra time to arrive. The exact address will be sent upon completion of registration.
What do I bring/wear? Please bring a journal, pen, water bottle, and lunch/snacks. Also, please bring an object to place on our alter (more on this upon registration). Weather is unpredictable at the farm and often changes throughout the day, so please bring warm layers, a weather/water resistant jacket, and shoes you donโt mind getting a bit muddy!
Must I stay for dinner? Closing the day by breaking bread together is part of the ethos of our mission and retreat. Sharing a meal provides us time to reflect, settle, and deepen the connection we have made over the course of the day. We accommodate for dietary restrictions. Also, why wouldnโt ya?
